1st July 2007.
The committee would like to say a big thank you on behalf of all the village to Mick Soar for his very kind donation of labour and materials to install the new floor in the Village Hall.
The floor is now level, even, at the correct depth with the correct damp proofing etc as required by planning regulations and this will be the base for all future activities in the building.

19th May 2006. Services supplied to village hall.
Thanks to the grant we received from the Community Chest, we now have running water and an electricity supply at the new village hall. This should greatly improve our efficiency at all future events.

28th June 2005. Inaugural use of the new Village Hall site.
The new village hall site will be used for the first time on the 17th July for the post-Treasure Hunt BBQ! All villagers are welcome whether or not they entered the Treasure Hunt.

14th February 2005
The AGM will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 24th February in the Chapel. The
accounts will be available for viewing from 7pm.
Please show your support for the village by taking part. There are places on the
committee and everyone is encouraged to consider putting themselves forward.

19th October 2004
The Christmas dance event has been cancelled. The committee undertook a needs analysis and it was regrettably decided that the event will not go ahead this year.

11th October 2004
The committee would like to thank everyone who helped with the Harvest Festival Supper (whether you helped out with your time or with your money) and we are sure you all had a good night.
The result was an excellent £1,000 and this will be put to good use on the Village Hall.
Thanks especially go to Vic and Helen for their superb hospitality.

25th July 2004
Phase 1 of the Village Hall project, consisting of care and maintenance of the original building, has now ended. The search for funding for phase 2 is continuing in earnest.
An information flyer is being prepared for circulation amongst villagers that will explain what is happening in the village and also how the hall project is progressing.

21st May 2004
You might have noticed that work has started on the old barn. The aim of phase 1 of the work is to make safe the original building and make the walls straight!

Cutting it - in the community
The £500 donation went to Billingley Village Community Association. Billingley, near Barnsley, has several public grassed areas which they were struggling to maintain.
